On August 31, 2012, I was a high school humanities teacher, youth group leader, and highly-engaged resident in a small, inner-city Baltimore neighborhood.

On September 1, 2012, a clever, funny man emailed me through a dating website, hoping to start a conversation.  Since he was deployed with the US Air Force to an undisclosed location in the middle of the desert somewhere… I did not anticipate it going anywhere.

On September 1, 2013, I married him and left all that I knew of city life to move to the middle eastern side of Nebraska. (Turned out I had a lot to learn about Nebraska geography when I first wrote this…)


Less than a year later, Sung left the military and we both left Nebraska.  We moved to my childhood home, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  Here, Sung will pursue an engineering degree and I will teach Kindergarten.  A lot has changed since I started this blog so I decided to keep the title the same….
